Snacks in San Francisco / Oakland that I adore.
1. Lemper at Kopiku. A small tube of rice stuffed with coconutty chicken, in a leaf, at this cute Indonesian cafe in the Marina. Just like in Jakarta. Have it with a kopi pandan

2. The black cherry empanada at El Porteño at the Ferry Building. There are lots of empanada places but this place (they also supply the empanada at Woods bars) does it with a flaky laminated type pastry. All their savory ones are very good (I especially love the mushroom one) and their black cherry one, when they have it, is excellent
3. The mozzarella cheese coconut bread at Cafe de Casa. It has a few locations but the one in North Beach is gorgeous. They have a large tapioca-based gluten free menu as well, and some of the best açaí anywhere. Good Brazilian coffee.
