In related news, I think I鈥檓 going to start learning #Hanami, a Ruby framework that isn鈥檛 afraid to have strong community values right there on the front page (https://hanamirb.org/). Anyone seen any good guides to porting a complex #Rails app?

@Floppy I can't believe I'm saying this but shame on you @timriley and @cllns for not sharing your most useful resource here https://discord.gg/JyRj4peJU 馃槣
@Floppy Thank you for giving it a look 馃挄
We have this example in our forum, which is also open source! https://discourse.hanamirb.org/t/converting-a-rails-app-feature-parity/1287
If you need help with anything at all, come find us in the forum or chat 馃槉 Helping new users is one of the most valuable things we can be doing!
@timriley I will do! It looks really nice, I鈥檓 just very scared of moving over a pretty big app when I *really* don鈥檛 have the time or money to do so. 馃槵
But given the general reaction to my DHH call to action, maybe I don鈥檛 have a choice.
@Floppy @timriley I tried putting out a few feelers at work, but didn't really get beyond the technical issues of whether Hanami has too many layers and boilerplate classes (hope I'm summarizing that right, all of us were going from code samples in places like the Hanami documentation). I may take a closer look at some of the suggestions in this thread, if only for my own knowledge of what's out there.
@issyl0 sounds like a great idea :)
@Floppy I definitely understand that it's a big task. So it's not an expectation I ever have of people :)
But what I hope is that more people can show your bravery and commit some time to learning something new, and possibly using it for their next thing.
Regarding Rails, we also have a community member who has embedded a Hanami slice inside a Rails app, so that's another pathway that could work: https://discourse.hanamirb.org/t/proof-of-concept-a-hanami-slice-in-a-rails-app/1168
