@pezmico I'm tired of the media trying to tell me that "tax the rich" is the left-wing option.
It's the centrist option. Look at the top tax rate under Eisenhower, or even Muldoon.
"Liquidate the rich" is the left-wing option.

I wonder why, because it seems to me it'd be the most straight forward option, and probably the most palatable to the general population as well.
@pezmico but this story is mostly interviewing economists, who no doubt all have a decent amount of capital they’d rather not be taxed so they’re deflecting to the rest of us…
