The backlash to ABC/Disney canceling Kimmel shows why it's important for businesses and the public to understand that two-thirds of Americans are not Trump voters

@pluralistic I feel sorry for billionaires. These are people who will never write a poem, who will never pay taxes, and who probably have someone help them when they go to the toilet.

Perhaps RFK should concentrate on finding the cause of billionairism, instead of whatever bullshit he's up to today.

@pluralistic

That would make for an interesting study to see how every billion dollar increment in net worth increases dark triad personality traits.

I believe some of it is shaped socially. The super rich are a tiny, but socially networked enclave. We see this with NRx.

They tell themselves they are the smartest people in the world and all their underlings reaffirm it.

They live in a self reinforcing bubble. This is why there should be a cap on wealth and company size

The billionaires aren't OK: They're going to give us all Howard Hughes disease.

France Starts Reporting ‘Millions’ of File-Sharers

This week the controversial French three-strikes anti-piracy law Hadopi went live. Copyright holders are currently in the process of sending out tens of thousands of IP-addresses of alleged infringers to Internet service providers, and this will increase to over a million in a few weeks. The ISPs have to hand over the identities of the associated accounts to the authorities within a week, or face a fine of 1500 euros per unidentified IP-address.

Engadget explains net neutrality -- and our full interview with Professor Tim Wu!

Still trying to get up to speed on the whole net neutrality situation? Check out the intro above for a recap of the basics -- it ran during the last Engadget Show as part of our interview with Columbia law professor and noted net neutrality advocate Tim Wu. Then, head after the break for both cuts of the interview -- the edited piece that aired with the show and the uncut half-hour version. If you've got the time we highly recommend the full-flavor edition -- it's seriously interesting stuff, and Tim's not afraid to speak his mind on one of the most important tech issues of our time. Update: And here's a downloadable copy, for those who were asking.
