A dear friend of mine passed away recently, & sadly, I can't make his memorial, so a friend will read what I wrote. There's a planning committee & they reviewed my words and returned a shorter version. Turns out they'd summarized it with an AI. It was **dreadful** and didn't sound anything like my voice, nor did it set the tone correctly, nor did it even make the correct points. Luckily, the committee changed the plan & my original will be read.

@podfeet how could they even consider this? An in memoriam is highly personal.
@podfeet This is the main reason for me to not use AI for writing. Even if it’s more correct, it just completely misses nuance and even if it would get that right, my voice is missed, which in most cases are so much more important than any correctness.
Also, this was a particularly bad use case.
