@yogthos As long as Western manufacturers continue abiding by regulations that mandate things like backdoors and de-rated/de-spec'd hardware then countries like China should stop purchasing such products and should continue developing domestic alternatives that can also compete on the global market. The United States, more than any other nation I can think of, is constantly sabotaging itself for short-term "gains". Where before there may've been little direct motivation, now the US is going to force China into becoming a global computer, chip fabrication, and IT competitor through active sabotage of Chinese markets/industries.
