Wondering if there could be any way to let devs just write a changelog once and have it automatically be used both in the in-app About -> What's new dialog and in Gnome Software, without any extra work?

At least for Flatpak apps, since Gnome + Flatpak = <3

@luley Oh wow, really? That's cool! But then why do I pretty often see apps with a changelog in What's new, but not in Software? Seems like it needs to be even more easy/automatic than it already is?

@forteller Not sure why it isn't used more, but maybe some developers just haven't noticed that it's possible? I also discovered it by accident. But it's quite convenient to use, so I think it will become more common over time
