So posting this as the main administrator of CyberFurz Social. I'm coming down to making a hard decision, which is to consider shutting down CyberFurz. I registered us as a Virginia, USA based LLC which has never posted a profit nor ever broke even. Not that it was my goal, as this isn't about money at all, it's primarily along the lines of growing US and International regulations which can impose heavy fines for just not doing good enough jobs age gating. I don't want to collect PII to verify people, nor do I want to force people though companies that could use your data against you. I'm also conflicted with the growth of unrest in my country and the threats to push more control on social media, which scares me operating a legal LLC backed instance. I haven't made the choice yet, but if I do we will be complying with the joinmastodon.org covenant giving 3 months for migrations to occur.
