How do we turn unstructured police reports into actionable, interoperable knowledge?

A new open-access study shows how AI and semantic web technologies can transform law-enforcement archives from static scans into dynamic, queryable data systems. By combining LLM-driven entity extraction with semantic representation (RDF/OWL), narrative reports become searchable, linkable, and interoperable across agencies.
