With a Web app as complex as Slack, it's hard to say if it's intentional or some programmer unknowingly making a change that proactively tries to get those permissions -- most of their Web devs have presumably already granted permission and would never notice the change.

@span auspicacious I really wish I could get these groups to switch a more secure alternative like #Matrix or #Mattermost. The stuff they'll share in groups, thinking Slack is safe is a bit maddening.
