What would you suggest instead? I understand your concern but 'blind' has a long history of usage - but if you have a good concise alternative happy to use it

Ignoring, minimising, excusing, apologising, not wanting to see or acknowledge, and in some contexts even a verb like facilitating, are some alternatives people can use, having the added benefit that these verbs make clear that these are things people do.
