Yesterday Alto was on list of 10 infrastructure projects to be fast-tracked by new Major Projects Office; consortium already selected, contract is signed.
This is one of few projects that will reduce emissions鈥攊t replaces cars on Highway 401 and short-hop flights w/ fast, frequent electric trains.
A lot of up-sides. Canadian-made steel would go into the tracks; Aluminum would go into railcars. Both industries are suffering thanks to Trump's tariffs.
It would also help Canada meet climate commitments, and provide employment in Ontario, in areas hard-hit by car plant closures.
