@roussefolle @cstross there's a hint in the data ... -273 is 0K ... so for some reason 0 K (sane unit if you ask me) was stored as the temperature and the converted to C? Maybe the mechanism for detecting and approximating missing measurements failed to distinguish between 0 (no measurement) and 0(nitrogen snow)?
