It's very cool that #minecraft has a "peaceful mode".

Little One likes exploring around and has started building a house, but was very stressed about surviving the mobs, mainly because they lost their materials if killed.

Peaceful mode solved their problem.

@pezmico I still remember when zombies were added. My then-toddler slammed the iPad cover shut and stared at me for something like twenty seconds before running away to recover.

Unfortunately it's not possible to "beat" the game in it. Can't get Eyes of Ender to open the portal.

@pezmico there is also the keep inventory game rule IIRC. It make mistakes very forgiving while still giving you the chance to fight.
