I tried to find some information about the incident in which #DragonCon removed the AI “artist” from their Artist Alley with police assistance, since the vendor refused to leave. Unfortunately, almost everyone discussing it is a YouTube “content creator,” and they’re all siding with the “artist.”

To me, it seems many who are supportive of AI are jealous of others’ skills and believe they should have access to them, without having to spend the time practicing art.

@ramsey the mistake is being stupid enough to give ai credit. pro ai people like to overshare when it really is no business of anyone else how you did what you did.

@ramsey some people try to push the idea that LLMs help to the democratization of intellectual and art skills; I, on the other hand, think people should put the time and effort to develop those skills if they so desire them.

Having a LLM generate "art" for you, it's like saying "my friend is a painter, if I ask him to paint something for me he'll do it." You can't it's yours.
