Before and after dyeing this skein of #HandSpunYarn .

The yarn is 4-ply sport weight, 50% Wool 25% Alpaca 25% Satin Angora

Dyed with black walnut hulls #naturalDye . I boiled the hulls twice, then placed the bath in a shady spot and soaked the yarn for three days.

This was a test dye for a larger project. I love the color, but I'm not sure it's right for this project. I'll decide after knitting a test swatch.

A close up of the yarn, showing off the color variation. The Angora has dyed a light yellow gold, the wool is a medium brass, and the Alpaca is the same cinnamon brown or dark copper tone as before.

A skein of yarn against a clover background. It has three strands of white and one of cinnamon brown. Upon closer inspection, you can see there are two dull white strands, which are wool, and one bright what strand, which is Angora. The brown is Alpaca.

Knitting Hive Mind - I need some opinions! (Both informed and uninformed welcome)

I have this #HandSpunYarn that I'm going to use for #knitting a Rabbit Raglan.

I have two problems

1) the colors give it a "70s Cottage Grandpa" feel, which i don't hate, but i think it detracts from the luxury of the yarn.

2) the bunny motif is rather small (~ 2in x 3in). Do I scale the chart up, use it as is, or try a similar but different chart?

More details in thread

Three skeins of yarn posed on a fence as a color reference. The first is un-dyed white wool and Angora plied with brown Alpaca. The second is white wool plied with pale fawn Angora and Alpaca. The third is the same as the first, dyed with black walnut hulls. The different fibers took up the dye at different rates, creating a rich yarn with stripes of gold, brass, and copper.

A small swatch of a colorwork bunny knitted in the round with a ribbed border. The main color is brown and gold striped, and the contrast color looks exactly like oatmeal.
