After three test flights that fell short of the mark, #SpaceX put its #Starship super-rocket through a successful test mission that featured a first-of-its-kind payload deployment. @alanboyle I watched the launch tonight and I am continually impressed with SpaceX’s flight test program, deliberately pushing the envelope by programming off-spec actions to test what the ship can and cannot survive. This is a costly way of doing business, but they are learning much more about their systems (and advancing their design) than if they only tried to launch perfect vehicles.
