Various lichens such as Felt Horn lichen (Cladonia phyllophora) with its brown fruiting bodies (apothecia) that look like small trees, or the single yellow-green podetium of a small Lipstick Powderhorn lichen (probably Cladonia macilenta) with a red fruiting body grow in the light green Haircap moss covered with water droplets from the morning dew.
Almost hidden by the moss, larger bright red apothecia of another Cladonia species can be seen on the left side of the image, along with some long dry moss sporophytes at the right edge of the image.
