Packing for the upcoming :sac: course "Tourenleiter Bergwandern", leaving tomorrow. Theoretical stuff all done and dusted. Test tour planning sheet filled out. Will play around with the compass some more. And then we will just have to see what the entry test will bring. 🤞

Based on stories from recent dramatic rescued hikers in Norway—Alec Luhn among them—a signal mirror seems like a light and easy “good idea”.

@csaetre although there are certainly better signal mirrors, I do have a mirror compass which I could use. But then again, in my surroundings it would be very unlikely I would have to use that. In case all other obvious options wouldn't work, I guess a whistle would be the most effective way of attracting attention.
