If someone were to make an Erlang shirt the terrible mockup attached shows a problem. The logo is actually transparent. It works really well on white. For production reasons one might not be able to flip the black text white for the black shirt. It could work okay on a gray.

The white square background is maybe what people expect? And it would definitely show up correctly and enable more shirt colors.

I know people don't buy a lot of white shirts..

@lawik both of them, but I'd add another one, with the dark background but with Erlang written in white. A mix of both of these.

@lawik I actually own several white T shirts, and would probably buy one of those if someone were to make it in a nice quality. Most of my shirts are, however, black.

@lawik also, speaking of Erlang logos, I would like this one on a T shirt. It seems like it would be easier to get it to work on a black T shirt.

@lawik I think the white square background works better if you give it some padding, otherwise the ”ERLANG” text is too cramped. Like this:

@unvisual yeah, that's a good call, I threw this together quick with very little thought. But that is a good reference point for making an entirely white one.

A challenge is that a square block transfer on a shirt tends to feel stiff and a bit weird.

Each style costs a couple of hundred US to get the batch in order. It might be worth doing a light and a dark one anyway because I'm a glutton for punishment.

@lawik White is fine. You can also turn the red of the logo to black and print it on a bright-coloured shirt. Some people really crave non-sombre tech shirts :P
