@JamesBaker

#Persona (#WithPersona) has also been used by #Kraken: https://mastodon.acm.org/@nobody/114507189542698748

#Onfido, used by #Revolut and #Binance, similarly hosts EEA customers' data on MS servers: https://www.entrust.com/legal-compliance/data-privacy/sub-processors. They claim the "data ... transferred outside of the EEA benefits from an adequate level of protection by requiring sub-processors to enter into the EC approved Standard Contractual Clauses". Ironic, considering Microsoft admits they can't comply

@nobody Persona contacted me they said they have a separate processing agreement with Reddit that governs how data is used - but Reddit points users towards their general terms. So I’m not sure users can even find out the actual terms of how their data is being processed?!

@JamesBaker I wonder if it'll be the same "requiring sub-processors to enter ..." clause?
