Why the fuck is the media normalizing Democratic lawmakers being held hostage by police or being locked in the House chamber?

Texas Democrat Nicole Caillier is locked in the house chamber right now and won't be allowed out until Wednesday unless she signs over her freedom to have police escort her every second of the day until the house meets again on Wednesday.

Every other Democrat signed and has to pay for the escorts they were forced to have follow them everywhere.
