There's been a lot of talk about donations to #FOSS projects lately, and for good reason. An overwhelming majority of FOSS projects run on volunteer goodwill alone, and it shouldn't be that way.

I wish I could say that I donate to FOSS projects myself, but I've been more focused on donations to orgs like the ACLU, family planning centers (you know the one), and my local library. I do want to help fund FOSS in the future, but I feel like my United States Fun Bucks are needed elsewhere right now.
