TIL about #Ferragosto sounds like a fun holiday
@StingrayBadger When I was young, we used to get to the beach at sunset and spend the whole night there. We would sing, play music, eat, dance, and chat. We confided in each other because the night was long and it created a positive spirit. Then, at the first light, we would run into the water and go for a swim while waiting for the Ferragosto sunrise.
@StingrayBadger it was! We felt young and free. To be honest, sometimes it was some sort of FOMO: we HAD to do it, even if we were tired, etc. But I have very good memories of those nights.
