An investigation by ProPublica and The Texas Tribune found more than 60 instances of nepotism, self-dealing and conflicts of interest among 27 private schools that likely would have violated state laws had the schools been public.

@ProPublica The chilling effects of DEI bans, inadequate Lakey “starve the beast” approach shifting funds from public to charter, persecution of “brown people” and white supremacy/Christian Nationalism (e.g Ten Commandments in classrooms)in state government. Lack of government action on real issues for Texans like Uvalde, July 4th flood, power grid capacity, teacher training and pay, healthcare for educators. And, college for all regardless of origin.
