Todays plant is in honour of Angus Lunn who died yesterday. Angus made a huge contribution to the understanding of Northumberland's ecology, and single-handedly demonstrated the importance of the border mires and inspired their restoration. Look him up, that's only a part of his important work and achievements.
So here's an indistinct photo of a very important tree, one of the Williams Cleugh Scots Pines. (see reply for more info)
