Every time the digital voice built into my headphones says something like ...

"Battery, about 80%."

.... it reminds me of Zoie Palmer as the Android in Dark Matter. This makes me happy : )

Palmer is a brilliant performer and criminally underutilised.

EDIT: outside of Dark Matter, where they make excellent use of her range.

@strypey lol yup. I have the WH-CH720N, the noise canceling is vastly improved over far more expensive headphones a couple years older.

I got mine second hand in 2022, thanks to one of my dedicated craphound friends. To replace a much cheaper pair I'd got in China, with no noise-cancelling. The current pair have annoyingly unreliable gesture controls that can't disabled without the proprietary app. Next pair definitely will *not* ; )
