Not only did I exit Apple in February (My first computer in 1993 and all since were Apple made) I've started a program at my local library to help others exit big tech, save money and continue using older hardware. Computing without #Apple, #Google, #Microsoft is entirely possible. Using #GNU#Linux#FreeSoftware has been a better #computing experience.

We can help one another do this. We do actually have a choice. They do not get to control everything. Make the effort.

@bryan That's fantastic. Keep sharing your progress. I think the more we talk about it and share our steps taken the more we can help one another. Just as they "gameify" their shit to keep is using it, we should gameify our progress in getting off out of their nightmarish profit machines.

Fantastic! The thing is, the transition can be both a challenge and a lot of fun. And getting out from under any of these companies dark cloud feels pretty fantastic. I only wish I'd made the move years ago.

Would be amazing to see a movement of nerds and geeks helping one another, their families and communities to make real moves in computing.

We've been far too complacent, lulled by convenience. "They" hold so much power in our world, but they CAN'T STOP US FROM THIS CHOICE.
