A little plein air sketching, to watercolor later. I'm not coloring in this scorching sun!

A pencil sketch of Ponte Vecchio on watercolor paper. This one with more detail, because sketching little houses is fun.

Ponte Vecchio in all its magic hour golden glory, as viewed from the west, from Ponte Santa Trinita. This is the only microsecond window where there are no people in the frame.
The old bridge has three spans with stone arches, and a bunch of houses built on it (jewelry shops, really, what with Benvenuto Cellini having a bust right in the middle of the bridge). Also, a passage that some asshole rich dude built for himself, to avoid the commoners killing him when he was en route downtown. Centuries later they would invent armored luxury cars for that.

A quick pencil sketch of the previous scene, on watercolor paper. Just notes, few details, to color in.

View of the north apse of Florence cathedral, or part of it, framed between buildings on a street that leads to it.
