#3GoodThings

🚲 my little one is learning to ride a bike without training wheels - a marvel to observe and she is so proud of her progress.

🐈 I’m the first one to wake up in the house and thus I’m in charge of feeding my sister-in-law’s cat. All of a sudden, he’s super affectionate with me and follows me everywhere.

❤️ 5-year-old niece told me “you’re my favorite auntie”

@_elena the real pleasure lies in seeking simple yet meaningful things than in materialistic ones (that the world often mistakes for)

aawwwwwww!

At a recent extended family happening, I spent about half of the time playing with the kids. Including one whose ADHD/autism is so strongly expressed that many of her relatives are kind of ignoring her. Based on the hugs I got at the end, I'd say she had a good time.

I usually take pictures of everyone at such happenings but this time it's mostly photos and videos of children doing cute things, and I love it.

@_elena My kid learned to ride a bike on a very old, bumpy, slippery brick street in the middle of an old Dutch city. The road sloped pretty severely toward the canal, so training wheels were really more of an impediment than a help. He figured out how to balance his bike in an effort to stop the slow-motion tipping over from hitting a "training" wheel on the bricks.

@_elena nice! My daughter has learned to ride on the bike this summer, too! And without training wheels, I'm proud dad! It was amazing to watch the baby steps, but after 3 training runs, she was very fast, amazing! Enjoy those moments! 🙂

@jan @_elena for our kids we used the balance bike approach. Worked wonders.

@_elena Just wait until she 'gets it' and takes off riding. I think mine did like 2.5km of loops of our canal non-stop because of the adrenaline :D
