I still have a few Google Nest speakers around, but I hardly ever use the voice assistant. I was talking to my kid about Spider-Man and decided to ask, “How many Spider-Man movies was Andrew Garfield in?” because I forgot the titles, and if there were two or three.
It showed on the screen: “At least 24,” and then told me out loud, “55.”
It turns out he has been in two.
That is, the question as written, 'cause yeah, he only starred in 2.
@ryanprior eh, I have had them for years and mostly keep the mics muted to use them as speakers for Plex and Home Assistant. I got a few for free with various promotions, and then the Nest Hub with a screen generally makes a good kitchen display that my partner likes. I distrust Google the least out of companies that make similar devices, and they integrate well enough with our other devices.
I don’t think I would buy another Google smart home device today, but I also don’t like e-waste.
