@DL_Draco_Rex

For a VPN, mullvad is the most frequently recommended.

An independent US consumer review non-profit said mullvad, IVPN, and mozilla (which is resold mullvad) were best, made reasonable claims, and had independent audits.

https://www.consumerreports.org/electronics-computers/vpn-services/mullvad-ivpn-mozilla-vpn-top-consumer-reports-vpn-testing-a9588707317/

After lastpass messed up a compromise my work did a comparison between 1password and bitwarden, then thought both were good and but went with 1password for it's enterprise options. The people who did the review thought bitwarden was good too though.

And browsers are a world of hurt because they're all too complicated and expensive to maintain.

to turn off the ai chat stuff in firefox.
go into about:config
click through the warning
search for browser.ml.chat.enabled and set it to false.

Also seriously install ublock origin. if you can find the ublock configuration page and turn on the annoyances filters that can kills a bunch of cookie banners too.

And because of ublock origin, firefox or one of its' descendants is probably your best available browser options.

@alienghic @DL_Draco_Rex hundred percent what Dianne recommended. Also consider adding #privacybadger from the #EFF.
