Back in 2019, I had the genius idea to buy a pre-paid 1 or 2-year mobile plan with "unlimited" hotspot at 2G speeds (i.e., capped to 128kbps) for my apartment.
I though it would be totally fine, as I remembered cruising the then-modern web with just DOS and a 1200 baud modem in 1995. I wasn't spoiled, and didn't need modern broadband speeds, I told myself.
Nope. Everything just gracelessly failed, even just basic downloads with wget

Also, forget the web, they can use Gopher.
My first AMD was a 386DX40, which I later had confirmed (I got a 2nd hand) Intel 486DX33.
I miss that machine.
