@jpm oh, you got a controller? I'm still cool to send you a breakout and socket for it, just been alternatingly sick and super busy this month! I'll organise it early next week.
@timixretroplays yeah like $5 delivered from AliExpress. It鈥檚 probably extremely shit to actually use, but it responds to the signals from the Glasgow Interface Explorer correctly enough for my purposes. Next step is reading the 16 bits of the SNES controller using the same code.
Turns out 0.8mm solder wire does a much better job than these clips, because the plastic on the plug is too slippery for the clips to grab on to.
@jpm is that the fabled nicotine skin for the nes controller?!
@elebertus AliExpress special pre-aged plastic! The controller is, in fact, a brand new clone (no Nintendo branding, no serial stickers on the back)
