It's funny how we romanticize antique infrastructure, and villainize as ugly intrusions contemporary works like wind turbines and solar panel fields, yet simply naturalize things like gas stations, highways, oil rigs and all the rest of our fossil fuel infrastructure.
Well, not really funny.
I think ancient windmills are quite objectively beautiful, as are solar panel fields and wind turbines.
The solar panel fields remind me of sunflowers tilting towards the sun when they move. The wind turbines, of giant flowers.
But can't find a poetic imagery for the others - for sure.
