It teaches white people to value dominance over connection.
It rewards emotional disconnection and punishes vulnerability.
It trains people to be fragile in the face of feedback, defensive when called in, and avoidant when power needs to be shared.
And it isolates.
It steals the very thing all humans need to thrive: community rooted in trust, reciprocity, and shared liberation.
This is why “white guilt” is a dead end.
And why "I'm one of the good ones" is not enough.
