In other news, I've been working on this bit of embroidery for far longer than I should have, and am in the process of unpicking bits of it to redo them...
The bumblebee isn't at all as defined and fresh looking as I'd like, and needs more dimension... But here we are.
Also I don't know how to use my photo editing software yet. 馃槶

#Embroidery

A sort of purple or lilac daisy embroidered onto a bit of patchwork. There's a bumblebee, half finished on it. The leaves are done in two different variegated green threads and leaf stitch, with the stem a multicoloured split stitch. The satin stitch of the flower petals looks a bit bland and flat despite there being a bunch of colours used... On the left side there are two petals with a little more life to them, and a third one with a bit unpicked and showing the area being reworked. It's fiddly. Sini's pale fingers in frame. The colours are all a bit off and lacking the usual vibrancy.
