This morning I knew this chrysalis was about to be ready. Went for an hour for a walk, came back, and there is a new Monarch 馃 馃槏. Still has to let the wings dry and unfold.
Always in wonder how this large butterfly fits into the small bag.

The butterfly has emerged and is clinging to the now translucent empty bag.
The butterfly is orange with black veins and white dots along the edges of the wings.

A dark grey bag containing the developing butterfly, hanging under the edge of a clay pot. The black and orange pattern of the wings is already visible, a sign that the bag will open soon.
