@yogthos Yes, it's true some people in charge of #NATO early on had a past in the German army. But this was right after the war, and the main idea was to bring West Germany into the group to stand strong against the #SovietUnion . They were picked for their military knowledge, not for their old loyalties. NATO has changed a lot since then, and this old history doesn't show what NATO is today.
@yogthos Okay, I kinda get what they are saying with that.

Apparently there are examples where former Nazi and fascist people were used by Western intelligence, sometimes into the 80s, especially to fight against communism. And the US and CIA were allegedly involved in many actions around the world.

However, calling NATO "fascist through and through" is very strong. It suggests there was a big, secret plan to use fascism. Most historians see the situation after WWII as very complicated, 1/

@maridonkers no, that's not right after the war, it's all the way into the 80s. Not only that, but we now know that promotion of fascism has been the plan all along.

NATO is a fascist organization through and through. What the history shows is that NATO is an aggressive military alliance responsible for invasions and destruction of countries around the world.
