@maridonkers NATO is literally a protection racket the US set up in order to keep Europe subservient after WW2. There is no NATO without the US. Anybody who thinks that Europe will be able to replace the US militarily is delusional beyond belief.

@IAmSpartacus the problem they have is that propaganda is only effective when it has basis in material reality. As people increasingly see how the narrative is diverging from their own lived experience, it leads to loss of faith in the system. Hence why we're seeing growing public unrest across the west now.

@IAmSpartacus for sure, and another aspect of it is that people in the west have had it drilled into them that they live in "free" societies. Seeing personal freedoms and access to information being increasingly curtailed is very jarring because that's bad countries do.
