look, you need to understand that xwayland rootful is a thing and has been for a while. you can just run a full screen rootful xwayland, lock yourself in it, and run i3 or xfce or something in it.
literally none of this screenshot is #wayback (even though it is in wayback), and this is why wayback will work: because xwayland already works. (1/2)
