- Requiring a login to view emailed shipping status updates.

- Requiring an app to view shipping status updates. Bonus if that app is an ad- and upsell-infested nightmare. Like Shopify.

@suetanvil Shopify is flexible with what stores do. All the stuff you mentioned is a choice made by the store itself. All that can be turned off. On the tracking page it requires email or phone number and order number, but it won't let me turn off the needing an email part. People do get out for delivery and delivered emails and text messages though with links to tracking.
