@ramsey I was just contemplating a big migration myself. What made you choose Porkbun? And were you able to migrate everything? I’ve got a few with unusual TLDs.

@shiflett I chose Porkbun because others have recommended it, and no one has recommended anything else. :-)

I haven’t tried migrating everything yet, so I can’t say yet whether everything will migrate, but they do seem to support a lot of TLDs.

@ramsey @shiflett I’ve been using Porkbun for a few years now and like them. It’s no-nonsense. Prices are good, sometimes even better than the VC-subsidized Cloudflare prices, and critically they’ve not annoyed me with constant up-selling.

@ramsey @shiflett The only issue I habe with openprovider.com is that they don't charge my bank account or credit card but I have to top up my balance on their accound *beforehand*...

Apart from that it seems great. And less pricey than gandi for sure

@shiflett I would like to say I did more research, but I didn’t. I got a few emails today for domains that are renewing soon, each for something like $140. I said, “NOPE!” and went to transfer them immediately. I picked Porkbun because I had heard about them, and the name has grown on me, despite earlier reservations I had about it. Plus, I think the artwork is cute. 😁

@ramsey @shiflett i like that the api access actually works on porkbun so i can use acme.sh to get certs without the webroot .well-known crap.
