@ricmac It's hilarious how Mosseri has convinced #Threads users that the reason links are suppressed is because people don't do the thing that people have been doing since the beginning of the World Wide Web- click links.
Definitely not because Meta wants you trapped in its platforms. It's your fault, you see.
@ricmac Threads isn't the problem. It's Instagram, because every time I follow a link there it throws a popover telling me I have to sign in to an account I don't have (and never will).
Of course, that's not to say threads isn't *A* big problem.
@ricmac there are current and former MetaFace employees who will swear up and down that FB really loves the web, and I am concerned for their mental health.
