The Trump administration claimed, in numerous court filings under oath, that it did not have custody of Venezuelan prisoners it shipped to CECOT in El Salvador. Now it appears the Trump admin has traded these same men back to Venezuela in some kind of swap for American prisoners held there.

@ferrix I know. It is crazy. I believe the regime is in violation of various laws against “refoulment” - a technical term for sending asylum seekers back to a country try they fled via a third-party country, though I’m sure the Trump regime has all sorts of bs justifications for at least some of the over 250 people involved. I don’t think any of them were given constitutionally required due process. The whole thing is sickening.
