1 kilogram of flour costs 100 shekels ($30) in cash.
But here’s the painful truth:
To get that cash, people are forced to pay up to 45% in commission.
That means 1 kilogram of flour ends up costing 180 shekels ($55).
One kilogram makes only 10 loaves of bread — barely enough for a small family of 3.
But most families in Gaza have 6 or
more members.
We are starving to death.
