Playing around with #GitLab for the first time in a while this morning* and wow I prefer it to #github in many ways.

Little things like the text editor (specifically the way you can switch from markdown to rendered text) and the option to mark issues as confidential.

* I just signed up to git.coop through #WebArchitects (https://www.webarchitects.coop/git#free)

#coop #git #workersCoop #techCoop

@da5nsy I had forgotten about git.coop, though do recall having the impression some years back that there would be many hoops to have ro jump through and then after getting through all of them, there would be very few projects being hosted there.

What have your experience been like? And, is it showing some limitations in lack of functionality?

I signed up to Codeberg a few months ago and committed to somebody else's repository, but other than that, I have not messed around with it much.

@jotaemei
Yep, that aligns with my experience. If there's ever some sort of federated identity system added to git forges, then I like the idea of things like git.coop, but until then I'm much more interested in Codeberg.
You can mirror repos from git.coop into places that have more users, but by that point, why not just host there
