Which band makes the heaviest music you know? Throughout the ages I've been on the hunt for the most penetrating, haunting and oppressive music to be found on the face of the earth. Akhlys comes pretty close. If a nightmare or sleep paralysis were music, this is what it would sound like.

For me the heaviest are probably Meshuggah, although my taste has been frozen on CoB’s “Are You Dead Yet?” and I kinda haven’t moved on ever since. None of that passes your bar for heavy, I’d guess
@rolle Terra Tenebrosa and Throane come to my mind! If you're into super obscure, otherwordly heavy music you should definitely check out Debemur Morti Productions catalogue on Bandcamp. Just found out Akhlys works with them too!
