Good news. #Debian#Trixie is running one of the fixed kernels (6.12.35) rather the broken 6.12.31 it had previously.
Thought I'd better check, as Debconf is about to start, so Trixie won't be long now 😃

5.10.240-rc1 was just tagged with the patch applied, so when that gets released all affected kernels will be fixed.

This network bug was found by the #Librecast test suite. It occurs to me that we should be running our tests over the stable release candidates to catch this sort of thing earlier before they end up in your distros.
The team of people testing #Linux stable kernels is small, but it just increased by one 😉
Less than 20 minutes after I said I'll run the #Librecast test suite over the stable kernel RCs and I found another bug 🐞
This one isn't an easy pass/fail to detect, unfortunately, but it is kinda obvious that something is very different in the 6.6 series of kernels.
