@heidilifeldman I'm 100% confident that they will. Lack of commonality, perhaps? A monolingual Spanish-speaking birthright citizen has suffered a substantively different injury than the U.S.-born kid of a couple of German neurosurgeons? I mean, that's BS, obviously, but the Supremes have been getting a lot mileage out of the principle that it's a lot easier to come up with some sort of half-assed justification for deciding the case the way you want to decide it when you don't have to worry about anyone reversing you. They've made it clear that they will do whatever it takes to avoid reaching the merits of the Fourteenth Amendment issue, because I don't think even they could find a way to read the amendment the way the government wants them to, and God forbid they should cause Trump the least bit of annoyance.
